Mauris magna means “big grey” in Latin. It is obvious why this species was named Mauris magna. This species of wolf is naturally very large and mostly grey. It was the first of the breeds to occupy the new world nicknamed Rush. Most of these wolves trace their ancestry back to wolves that inhabited Earth, called “Artic Wolves”, because of this they are able to tolerate sub-zero temperatures, which is why most of them live in the mountainous areas. They inhabit the most inhabitable places on Rush, making them a rare sight to those that live in the valleys. These wolves are often found burrowing into the soft snow, this is a technique which they inherited from their ancestors. They use it to regulate their body temperatures.
Most of these wolves have grey scale colorings, and mostly dark amber eyes. Mauris magna’s ancestors ranged from 25-30 inches from head to toe, however today the Mauris magna a close relative, range from around 35-40 inches, and from head to toe are around nearly four feet tall. They are also very long in bodies, they range from 40-53 inches in length, just as there ancestors. However unlike their ancestors who range in coat colors, most of the Mauris magna are grey colors, and some are white. Grown males can reach a weight of 175-200 pounds. (Unlike their ancestors, who can only weigh about 165 lbs) Mauris magna have prolonged life spans like many of the wolves of Rush. They tend to live for about 10-12 years. Mauris Magna wolves are very healthy, its how they naturally are, this is because of how they were built to withstand harsh weather and conditions.
Most Mauris magna are built for harsh conditions, this means they have large thick coats, which adds to there “large wolf” look. They have long legs, with thick fur. Mauris magna have legs that are thick with large stumpy paws. Most of these wolves hunt larger prey in packs, they favor oxen and bison, however at times one of these massive wolves will take down large prey by itself. These wolves eat almost every thing when they kill, they eat skin, fur and at times bones. Mauris magna aren’t very fast, but they have strong long legs, making it easy for them to run long distances and eventually outrunning their prey.
These wolves tend to have personality disorders. They have short tempers, and the ability to kill almost any living thing makes them a little cocky. However, this is a very noble breed. These wolves have very, home-bound personalities, they usually don’t wonder far from their family or pack and its rare that you will see them outside of their mountains. They are also very strong willed, and stubborn, although these wolves have incredible attachments to their packs.

They share many things with there lighter colored relatives, although habitat is not one of them. Unlike the Mauris magna, Atrum umbras live in less harsh weather and trace their ancestry back to the Tundra Wolf of the once thriving Earth. These wolves were built for more speed than the Mauris magna, however they are slightly larger than them. These wolves were made to live where the climate isn’t harsh, in slightly tropical places. There fur is lighter than the Mauris magna, and its also darker.
Atrum umbra have coats that range from black, to brown to rust colorings to dark grey. Most of these wolves have thinner coats, most of them are slick. This is what makes them made to live in less harsh weather. However, they are very large, much like their relatives Mauris magna. They have an average body length of 55-60 inches, they weigh around 220 pounds on average, however males are usually larger than females. They are around 30-36 inches tall from head to toe, however some have grown to be 36-46 inches tall, slightly larger than Mauris magna. These animals have long legs, and high bodies. They can run very fast, and for longer time periods, this makes it easy for them to outrun their prey.
Unlike there close relatives, they don’t have temper disorders. They are rather slick wolves, although this doesn’t mean that they are wise, or intelligent. They specialize in hunting tactics, and are masters of night hunting. These wolves tend to be more independent, and self reliant.
