Magji Volcano

If I was you, I would watch my step. Bubbling black tar surrounds the base of this area as a constant fall of ash seems to always be cascading from the top of the mountainous monster. My paws felt as if I was sinking into the ground and the earth wanted to claim me as it’s own. That’s not the worst of it though. My travels led me on a winding trail of sorts up and around the volcano. Hot red magma zig zagged on the sides of the Maji like pulsing veins carrying liquid back down and deep into the land where I presume the core of it rests. I continued anyhow until it became too steep for me to just walk anymore. It took a lot of effort but I climbed until I was at the mouth of the giant. Treacherous though, if my paw were to hit a lose rock or were to slip, a drop from this height would most likely lead to the death of even the biggest wolf. Perfect practice ground for young fire welders, dangerous place to explore.

The Hot Springs

I smiled as the warm steam from the waters below me rose and made me want to melt into the liquid. Water from the higher lands in Terra Sacrina flows down here and fills these small pools with fresh H2O. This was once a place abundant with vegetation and teeming with new life. Now because of volcano’s activity, most, if not all of the trees lost their vibrant greenery, the ground no longer supports any kind of plant small or large, and it looks like with just one step the dirt would crack under anyone’s feet. I didn’t mind anyhow, I just came here to relax. It didn’t last for long though as one of the many geysers that spout up from the barren ground sounded off in a release of steam right behind me and seared the skin on the tip of my tail. So much for a relaxing time…

Nevictus Desert

Wolven paws were seared by the burning ground and after a while, they didn’t even feel as if they were on fire anymore. I couldn’t think of anyone who would think it is an okay idea to come here during the day. The shifting sands sometimes provided a tough time to travel especially if there were high winds. With little shade and water, my best bet for relief were the tall sand dunes that casted occasional shadows on the land. The night time was no better. The temperature dropped so drastically that I felt like winter had come early. At night, my only source of light was the moon and stars that loomed over head. When a cloud moved in front of that light source, I couldn’t see a thing. And that’s when I felt the most vulnerable. If your skin is much tougher, unlike mine, and if your paws aren’t scorched from the un-merciful land, you might reach the oasis at the end of the desert. I don’t know if it’s true if it’s there or not…I didn’t stick around long enough to see. But stories tell of a beach like oasis with the coolest waters any wolf has experienced. And fresh grass to lay on. But then again, they’re only stories.

The Stone Garden

This was the first true serene part of the land that I’ve seen for miles. My body fell on the rich emerald grassy field and rolled around. It’s like this was the untouched land in all of Ignis Sacrina. Here was an open field with a few scattered trees placed around the field and a little bit of a hill off to my left. But what’s this? A boulder sat a little ways off all by itself. It looked awkward in that one spot so I decided to go check it out. Upon discovery, I found out that behind the boulder, there were more. And behind those were even more! All spaced out just like those trees back in the field were. The grass wasn’t as full as it was back there but at the time I didn’t seem to notice much. I was too intrigued by these foreign objects that loomed for what seemed like miles above my head. It…was amazing. The stones were aged away and decayed by Mother Nature’s effects but still looked majestic as if they were just put here yesterday by our ancestors.
